Adam Reilly is a top-notch local media writer and a frequent guest panelist for "Beat the Press." He's broken plenty of stories lately in the Boston Phoenix about layoffs, salary cuts, and just general unhappiness in the news industry.
One of his most recent posts in his popular "Don't Quote Me" column and blog hit close to home. Or, to put it more exactly, hit his home. The Phoenix is cutting salaries (including Adam's) and laying off staff and, being the true professional that he is, Adam has the story.
