Journalism school enrollment spikes

The newspaper industry is in peril, television has been downsizing.  At the same time, there has been a spike in applications and enrollment in journalism schools. What’s behind the rise and interest in journalism schools when media jobs are disappearing?

Thanks Emily,

ST: A Great Topic (Why Journalism for the Young?)

I am certain this has to do with Bombing the young and FAME. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJoHnsCnjiw

The money to raise a family is not in Journalism. JoeS tried his best with advanced degrees and Keller is right that it is well rounding, YET NO Money means two jobs, living at home with parents, or getting the heck out of Journalism. NO FUTURE... for the average or better than average duckling..

AND Universities push their ever sucking of money from the masses and young..

I know I am being negative, yet you all know the pay for the young.
