Howie Carr: As a journalist for the Boston Herald who writes a regular column, is he violating journalistic standards by speaking at partisan political fundraisers?
The Boston Herald...
The Bay State Banner is threatening to shut down after 44 years. What does losing the Banner mean for Boston's African-American community?

Hi ALL,
ST: Have the Banner expand into the Values arena.
"I have a Dream" MLK
I agree with Adam, yet not Callie. I do understand Callie's point YET that point (we will always be Black, Negro, UncleTom) is dying it's natural death. There was a time that Callie was correct yet NOT now.
The Banner could expand to cover Catholic and Family issues in a more progressive conservative light. Many blacks understand the value of having a NORMAL, non homosexual man as an integral part of a family system that includes a wife and children and a man that doesn't go to Jail.
I am against several Black thinkers that think that only in framing issues as Black issues that the Negro/Black/Human community can move forward with a voice.
Welcome All, You to Callie
Well I just watched the end of Basic Black with Travis and CorrnelW as quests and I stand firm in my opinion that Black has to GO as a deciding factor in Black news coverage. Yes you still have to cover prejudice yet you can expand and Basic Black is still a good show.
Now I know this is a challenge to think that you and your experience is not unique and that others can also come and can go from the platform of differences in appearance, language, mob/leader rule, , , Sticking with an addiction is tough to crack so breaking the "I'm Black" mentality is going to be TOUGH.
What I want is for your opinions to be people and condition centric and not race centric. Use your life history to the advantage of all humans, except the Latinos. I would like to see them grow separately since they will create another great political and spiritual voice.
BTW, I like Travis and he has some great insights.
